AS Roma are slowly developing a habit of picking up players from premier league teams for nothing or next to nothing after bringing in Gervinho and Ashley Cole from Arsenal and Chelsea respectively. Roma have now turned their sights to Liverpool full back, Glen Johnson.
The former Chelsea full back looks set to depart Anfield in the summer as he is far from happy with the club recent rumors claimed that Liverpool offered the defender half of his current pay to extend his contract but Glen Johnson refuted those rumors claiming he had not been offered a contract by Liverpool. Johnson also went on to state that he wanted to play for a club that wanted him around but he didn’t feel the Liverpool backroom and fans wanted him anymore.
Johnson is free to negotiate with clubs once the transfer window opens in January and Roma are closely monitoring the situation as they have made it clear that they intend to bring in Glen Johnson next summer if he decides to leave Liverpool.
