The Nigeria’s Federal Government has declared January 1st and 2nd 2015 as public holiday to mark the New Year and Eid el Maloud celebration.

In a statement released today by the Minister of Interior affairs, Abba Moro, the Federal Government asked Muslim faithfuls to offer prayers to God for the Peace and Unity of Nigeria.

Moro further urged all Nigerians to engage in violent free activities in the run off to the 2015 general elections and to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation agenda to move Nigeria to the next level of development.
