Alleged irregularities in the primaries for the gubernatorial post in Kebbi under the protective umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have 7 aspirants demanding for a fresh primary elections, and have all threatened to defect if not done.
Mr Celestine Omehia chairman of the electoral committee reported via NAN, that the primaries has been suspended after the aspirants protested and no results were announced.
The aggrieved aspirants, met for several hours and listed their worries in a communique that was forwaded to PDP’s National
Secretariat said the election was bodied with violations of the party constituition.
Spokesman for the aggrieved aspirants, Dr. Musa Zagi, said they demand for fulll investigation into the failed primaries and the penalization of the culprits.
