Despite moving to Barcelona in the summer, Luis Suarez has maintained his loyalty to Brendan Rodgers as he got behind the under fire manager and defended him stating that Liverpool should not sack the former Swansea manager.
Suarez who is almost as famous for biting as he is for finding the back of the net stated in a recent interview that he believed Brendan Rodgers was the man to lead Liverpool on despite his former side’s unconvincing performances in the league and their crashing out in the Champions’ league group stages. Suarez said: “The reason they were back playing Champions League football is because of Brendan Rodgers – and he is the right man to guide them back there again next season. They must qualify for The Champions League next season. If it comes via the league or winning the Europa League – it is not important how.”
Suarez who has two champions league goals already for Barcelona to go with his six assists in all competitions has hit the ground running at Barcelona despite failing to find the back of the net in the league in five attempts.
