World No 6 and Britain’s No 1 Andy Murray will be getting married to Longtime girlfriend Kim Sears. Their engagement was only announced last week but it seems plans are in top gear as wedding date already fixed in the mind of the lovebirds. The 27 years old proposed in a traditional manner, Andy’s mum, Judy Murray, revealed.
Since becoming the first British man to win the Wimbledon singles title since 1936 in 2013, the athlete had repeatedly batted off questions about when he would ask Kim to be his wife.
The brunette beauty Kim Sears, was just 17 and still studying her A-Levels when she met the up-and-coming tennis player at the US Open in 2005. They separated briefly in 2009, but soon rekindled their romance after six months and have stayed together since, Daily Mail reported.
His mum has spoken for the first time about his engagement to Kim Sears, the couple – who have been dating for nine years after meeting at the US Open, are said to be planning an October wedding, according to the tennis champ’s mum, Judy. He has been asking for dancing tips from her, the ex-Strictly Come Dancing contestant said.
She says: “He was best man at his friend’s wedding last Saturday so he asked me to show him the Waltz in case he had to dance with one of the bridesmaids so I have actually shown him the very basic moves of the waltz.
