Liverpool & Arsenal played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday.
The result was fair to both teams, as Liverpool played the better football but finished the match with 10 men.
Liverpool took the lead first, with Phillipe Coutinho beating Woljech Szczesny for the opening goal.
Arsenal full back Mathieu Debuchy made sure the Red’s celebration was short-lived as he evened up the score for the Gunners barely 53 seconds later.
Olivier Giroud put Arsenal 2-1 up in the second-half, and the Gunners seemed to be nearing a victory at Anfield after Liverpool’s Fabio Borini picked up two yellow cards and a subsequent red card.
A lengthy treatment to Martin Skrtel for a tackle from Giroud however resulted in 9 minutes of injury time, and it was all Liverpool needed as Skrtel himself evened up the score to make sure Liverpool got a share of the spoils.
