The 1st edition of the 3 part #TameDaBeat Competition came to a successful end with young rapper (Adedayo Rozzady Koleowo) winning the grand finale of the rap competition, defeating fellow rapper Papzy in a keenly contested final at City 105.1FM premises.
Both contestants, having already won Beat by Dre headphones courtesy of 360nobs in the earlier stages, they came out eager to showcase their rap skills to listeners on air, as well as try and impress fellow Hip-Hop heads who came visiting such as popular rapper Mode9 and On Air Personality Kshow of City105.1FM, who interviewed the contestants.
Rozzady came out victorious, winning an Android Samsung phone and bragging rights as the 1st musical talent to emerge from the #TameDaBeat Competition. He is the 1st of the 3 talents to come out of this innovative competition, with the other 2 talents to be chosen in the singer and producer edition, so if you’re an aspiring singer or producer, you can still be a part of #TameDaBeat by going to 360nobs and following the instructions. The 2nd edition of #TameDaBeat will see aspiring producers who feel they have the sound; compete against each other for the opportunity to join Rozzady as winner, and be a part of the talented musical trio consisting of 1 rapper, 1 singer and 1 musical producer.
This edition is to start in November and last for 4 months, with each weekly qualifier being chosen online every 2 weeks, as well as winning Beat by Dre headphones like their rap edition counterparts. The 6 winners alongside 2 lucky wild card entries, making a total of 8 contestants, who will compete offline for the grand finale and the right to be the face of the #TameDaBeat producer edition.
