Chelsea Held 0-0 By Sunderland

Clearly the better side on the day, Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw by Sunderland at the stadium of light today.

Despite being in control for long periods of the match, Chelsea were made to rue missed chances as they were held by a resolute Sunderland defense. Willian saw a shot hit the crossbar and so did Vergini in the first half.

Sunderland dominated for a brief period in the second half but Chelsea came back to dominate the game and carve the Tynnside team open but Diego Costa and co uncharacteristically could not find the back of the net.

Chelsea are still first in the Barclays premier league and remain the only unbeaten side in the league this season.
