Chelsea Handler lashed out at Instagram for deleting a picture of hers where she was riding a horse topless. The picture parodies Russian President, Vladimir Putin in the same pose, also topless.
“Anything a man can do, a woman has the right to do better. #kremlin,” she first wrote on Thursday. The caption was preserved on Twitter, but the link provided to the original post led to a “Page Not Found” error on Instagram.
Instagram took down the picture as it violated their policy on nudity. Chelsea is not taking the removal lightly though a she calls it sexist for not censoring a man’s bare chest but doing so to a woman. She shared a screenshot on Twitter saying “Taking this down is sexist. I have every right to show I have a better body than Putin. ”
and decided to leave Instagram for Twitter as Twitter does no censoring saying “You can now find my dogs and my breasts on Twitter only where my followers have the right to choose what they say. Bye bye instablock”.
What do you think on this? Should women be allowed to show their breasts where men are allowed to? Is Instagram taking it too far or is Chelsea crazy?
