No Ebola case in Guinea

Following Nigeria‘s success with containing the Ebola outbreak, another West African country has successfully eradicated the virus.

Following 42 days without a new case, the World Health Organization declared Senegal Ebola-free on the 17th of October.

Only one case was recorded in the country, and later recovered.

The Ebola outbreak is still strong in Liberia and Sierra Leone though, where the death toll is said to have surpassed 4,500.
