Newcastle finally claimed their first win of the season after Obertan’s goal helped secure a 1-0 win over Leicester City but manager, Alan Pardew believes his team needs to improve “It was a really important win for the football club,” Pardew told Sky Sports. “We have worked really hard without getting our rewards, but today we did. They ran us really close at the end, but I am proud of my players.” Pardew went on to state that his team had to work hard to ensure the victories kept coming after grinding out a result today.
Pardew would be very glad to be able to ease some of the pressure he has been feeling in the past few weeks. Let’s hope the Newcastle United board don’t treat him the way the NFF treated Keshi, firing him after he finally gets a win
