Toyota Car Passes 240 Miles Per Hour Speed, Sets New World Record [VIDEO]

A Toyota Supra has set a new world quarter mile record, breaking the 240mph record in under 7 seconds.

The EKanoo Racing 2JZ GT86 set the GCC Super-Street ¼-mile record with a time of 6.05 seconds. Its speed crossing the line was 387 kilometers per hour or 240 mph.

The record was set at the 2014/2015 Bahrain National Drag Racing Championship at the Bahrain International Circuit, which features an international standard drag strip.

EKanoo also reset a world record with its 997 Tiptronic on the same day with a quarter-mile run in 9.09 seconds at 156.8 mph.
