Manchester United controlled the game for long periods but West Brom’s use of possession was vital as both teams left the Hawthorns with a point.
West Brom started the game very brightly and were rewarded in the 8th minute when Wisdom got the run on Di Maria and squared the ball to Sessengon who knocked the ball in to the top right corner from just outside the box. Manchester United basically controlled the game from that point but their equalizer didn’t come until the 49th minute through substitute, Fellaini’s thumping shot. In the 67th minute, Berahino ran in behind the Manchester United defense and finished brilliantly before Blind’d 87 minute curler denied West Brom all three points.
Van Persie saw a shot come off the bar and Manchester United had a penalty shout that was turned down by Mike Deen. This takes it to six matches without an away win for Louis Van Gaal’s men.
