Legendary Super Eagles player Garba Lawal believes the time is right for a new head coach for the Super Eagles.
Keshi has had a dismal record since winning the Nations Cup in 2013, and Lawal believes Keshi should be fired as soon as possible.
“I believe Keshi should not be allowed to see the team through the qualifiers because he has lost it. Out of the three matches the team have played, they have lost two, so what is the use of his continuation?” Lawal told The Punch.
“We should not take chances with someone who has shown no technical improvement in his team. There are three more matches to go but he should be allowed to go after the second leg of the Sudan match.”
“Anybody who sees that team will know that the team has no tactical game plan.”
“They played very badly in Khartoum and could have easily won the match with a better game plan than what was used. Such pattern was used in the 3-2 home loss to Congo last month. So, there is no need taking chances with the team.”
