Chadwick Boseman Plays ‘Black Panther’ In New Marvel Movie

Chadwick Boseman, an American actor, playwright, and screenwriter best known for portraying Jackie Robinson in the 2013 film 42 and James Brown in 2014’s Get On Up will be starring in Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie Black Panther as the titular character. The movie is scheduled to be released November 3, 2017 where Boseman will play T’Challa, the head of the fictional African nation of Wakanda.

The Black Panther was a long-serving member of the Avengers who also enjoyed multiple critically acclaimed solo runs throughout his 48-year history.

No other information has emerged as of present except the concept art for the character, shared on Twitter by Marvel’s Ryan Penagos.

The character will debut in 2016’s third Captain America movie, according to Feige, which has been given the title Captain America: Civil War.
