Boko Haram Abducts More Young People In Maiduguri

According to Vanguard, the Boko Haram sect abducted about 30 young people in Mafa, a village just 50 km from Maiduguri, a local village chief told reporters on Sunday.

According to the local chief, Alhaji Shettima Maina;

“The insurgents… grabbed young people, boys and girls, from our region”.

“They took all boys aged 13 and over… and all girls aged 11 and more. According to our information, 30 young people were abducted in the last two days.”

Confirming the local village chief, Shettima Maina’s claim was Mallam Ashiekh Mustapha who is also a village elder. The Boko Haram sect are known for kidnapping and their victims in recent times have been young girls, women. It would be recalled the sect kidnapped over 200 schoolgirls from their hostel in Chibok, Borno state.
