Swansea City manager, Gary Monk has been rewarded with the award of Manager of the month for September owing to his team’s brilliant performances in the league so far.
Gary has overseen Swansea City to three wins out of three matches so far in the Barclays premier league including a high profile victory over much fancied Manchester United, managed by Louis Van Gaal at old Trafford. Swansea have developed a style that is quick in transition and comfortable in possession and they have wearied opposition this season with their creative mixture of direct and short passing football. The acquisition of Gylfi Sigurdsson seems to have been a stroke of genius as the Iceland midfielder, who was nominated for the p0layer of the month trophy has been pivotal to the team’s performances this season.
Monk would be looking to continue with the same momentum after the international break and guide his team to a very high finish in the league. But so far, Monk is earning himself the reputation of miracle worker much like Brendan Rodgers did last season.
