Serena Is Still The Queen: Beats Wozniacki To Win US Open

Serena Williams overcame Caroline Wozniacki in the women’s final of the US Open at the flushing meadows to successfully defend her US Open trophy.

Serena Williams had suffered some below par performances in the grand slam season so far but the world women’s number 1 turned it up a few notches during the US Open and she was spectacular in the finals as she delivered another master class performance in power and technical tennis. In a match that lasted one hour 15 minutes, Serena overcame Wozniacki 6-3, 6-3. Wozniacki who only held her serve three times in the game was miles behind Serena who was also poor in the finals. Both players served too many faults and double faults and a dribble of u forced errors.

Serena Williams has won her 18th  grand slam title and her 6th US Open title.
