Manchester United today unveiled their deadline day signings Daley Blind and Radamel Falcao at Old Trafford today to a packed set of journalists and fans.
Van Gaal described Falcao as one of the best strikers in the world “If you look at his records, they are incredible” the Dutch trainer remarked. The former Netherlands manager also described Blind as a versatile player and a hard worker.
Both players revealed they were excited to be at Manchester United and said they hoped to help the club re-enter the champions league and help bring success to the club. Falcao commented that Manchester united is the biggest club in the world and was quoted saying “I hope to stay at the club for a long time and make history at the club.” Daley Blind called Van Gaal in intense stickler for detail and claimed he was excited to be working with Van Gaal again.
Blind joined Manchester united from Ajax Amsterdam for 16 million Euros and Falcao came to Old Trafford from Monaco on a season long loan deal with Manchester united having the first option to buy the player at the end of the season.
