Joan Rivers Passes Away At 81; We Look At Her Red Carpet Style

RIP Joan Rivers

Joan Rivers was known and loved for her irreverent sense of humour and scathing fashion critiques and respected for being a groundbreaker for women in entertainment. She passed away yesterday after suffering complications from throat surgery.

She was the first and still is the only woman to host a late night show and the red carpet was born when she started asking celebs who they were wearing at award shows in the 90s. She hosted the hugely popular red carpet review show Fashion Police for  years up until her death.

We take a look at some of her own fabulous red carpet looks.

On her hopes for red carpet fashion, the diva said to InStyle magazine , “More ball gowns. Come on, guys, dress it up! Enough with the sheath, enough with the little spaghetti straps. It’s showbiz! Do it up!”

RIP Joan Rivers
