Fred Plans Return International Football

Brazil forward, Fred has turned back on his decision to retire from International duty. As he feels he still has a lot to offer to the national side.

The Fluminense forward retired following a disappointing world cup campaign that saw the striker only hit the back of the net once in 7 appearances. Fred was heavily criticized for his performances and the player announced his retirement two weeks after the world cup at just thirty years old. Last week however, the FLuminense man decided to return to the Brazilian side claiming he felt he was in great form and he had something to offer the team.

Even though the striker has scored 5 goals in 7 games so far this season for Fluminense, Brazilian fans were far from glad to receive the news of Fred’s return to the Selecao. It now remains to be seen if the striker can force his way into Dunga’s squad and replicate his club form for Brazil.
