England forward, Danny Welbeck has been told by Louis Van Gaal that he can leave Manchester United if any club can cough up 10 million pounds for his services.
Van Gaal refused to deny or discuss Welbeck’s future after sources close to the player confirmed his future lies elsewhere.
Van Gaal would go no further than confirm he had had a meeting with Welbeck who has had to play second fiddle behind Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie when the first choice pair are fit.
“I know what I have said to Danny and he knows exactly what I have said,” said Van Gaal.
“The media is guessing, they were not in the room. I don’t talk about it, it’s private. Ryan Giggs was also in the conversation and he doesn’t say neither.”
Home-grown Welbeck, who has been associated with United since his schooldays, is valued at around £10m and his availability will attract the interest of just about every Premier League club, although United will be reluctant to sell him to one of their title rivals.
