Manchester United beat Valencia 2-1

Manchester United were rescued by a last minute strike by Maroane Fellaini as they over came Valencia in the REUTD14 game at Old Ttrafford which marked Louis Van Gaal’s first game as Manchester United manager at the “theater of dreams”.

Manchester United took the lead through Darren Fletcher’s deflected shot in the first half but Valencia did well to come back and Rodrigo seized the opportunity presented to him following Cleverly’s mistake to square things up. But in the 91st minute, The Valencia goalie and defender both misjudged the flight of Tyler Blackett’s cross and left Fellaini with the simple task of chesting the ball and knocking it into an empty net.

Van Gaal would be hoping the players carry this momentum into the season/
