Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is looking to cash in on defender Matija Nastasic.
The news will be of particular interest to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who had pinpointed the centre-back as a possible replacement for Thomas Vermaelen.
Nastasic was something of a revelation at Manchester City after joining from Fiorentina in 2012. The 21-year-old, then 19, fitted into the set-up seamlessly as Vincent Kompany continued to struggle with injury.
However, those roles were reversed last season with Kompany returning to fitness and the Serbian international spending the vast majority of the campaign on the treatment table.
With doubts lingering over his long-term availability, Pellegrini is ready to cash in on him once the prospective deal for Eliaquim Mangala has been completed.
