Glasgow 2014: Ese Brume Wins Gold In Women’s Long Jump

Star athlete Blessing Okagbare couldn’t participate in the women’s long jump at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, but compatriot Ese Brume made sure the gold came home still.

Brume’s 6.56m leap ensured Nigeria’s 1st gold medal at the event in 14 years, with Okagbare also winning the 200m finals.

England’s Jazmin Sawyers was second and Christabel Nettey from Canada was third.
