There seems to be something about electrical electronics engineering students that pulls them to rap, because yet again we have another finalist who is studying the same course.
His full name is Yinka Adetoye Bestman. A student of Osun Stage University and he is in his first year. Bestman began rapping in 2010, unlike the other running contestants who started off from early stages in life.
Music has not been easy for him and he has had challenges combining his academics and his music. There’s also always that struggle to put funds together for studio sessions.
However, this hasn’t deterred him. Tame Da Beat would be his first competition ever. He was introduced to it by a friend and he felt it was worth the shot.
He doesn’t intend to give up his music. It’s something he wants to do for life. “Music is now my life now o. I cant stop, I don’t know how to stop. I love it!”
When asked how he felt about his co-contender, he said this, “He is a good rapper. The moment I heard his rap, I was like ” ‘yeeeh, eleyi gidi gan o’. Those pinchlines he’s spitting made my head swell. I will say I won not only by luck but by chance because the votes were close to each other and I hope he contests again. @Meet_jlollz ‘bravo bro’ I feel you die…”
Bestman, of course, got his prize- Beats by Dr Dre Headphones.
