Where were you in 1977? That year the Festival for Arts and Culture (FESTAC) brought Africa together in an unforgettable display of the continents finest musical stars.
That was 37 years ago. History is about to be rewritten.
“The Urban African Music Festival” is taking place this year. After much tussle between Cape town, South Africa and Lagos, Nigeria, the organizers picked Nigeria to host the week long festival. While we may not know a lot about the details yet, we have it on good authority that it will hold this year and it will run for a full week.
The best of African musicians and DJ’s will be on the bill and several A list Hollywood music acts will make guest appearances. The organizers seem confident that this will be the first of its kind. Sounds like a lot of fun already. Be be sure that we will keep you posted. See trailer after cut.
