Suarez joins Barcelona in 70 Million euro deal

The now former Liverpool man has taken a huge bite out of Barcelona’s transfer fee as he officially joins the Catalan club for a fee believed to be around 70 million euros making the Uruguayan the most expensive South American footballer ever as he overtakes fellow Uruguayan Edison Cavani. Barcelona would be looking to strengthen and add the Uruguayan vampire’s goal threat to complement Messi’s and Neymar’s ability in around the box.

Barcelona can however not unveil Suarez until November 25th 2014 because of his ongoing FIFA ban from all footballing activities and the Uruguayan is set to miss the first ten games of the season.
