Remy not joining Liverpool after failing medicals

Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy’s impending move to Liverpool is now off, according to widespread reports.

The Frenchman was expected to complete a £8.5million switch in the coming days, having flown to the club’s pre-season tour of the United States to finalise his move.

However, rumours have emerged that the Merseyside outfit have now pulled out of the move due to concerns over the 27-year-old’s medical.

The imminent arrival of Remy, who netted 14 goals on loan at Newcastle United last season, was welcomed by fans.

Liverpool have given no indication of what the problem was, but with the switch firmly off the table, the Merseyside side outfit will now reignite their search for a new striker.
