QPR line up move for Ronaldinho

Ronaldinho has reportedly been targeted by Harry Redknapp’s Queens Park Rangers in what would be one of the biggest shocks of the transfer window.

The 34-year-old Brazil legend is looking for a new club after leaving Atletico Mineiro and Globo Esporte have claimed that he is open to a move to Loftus Road.

The 2004 and 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year has represented Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro in his home country since leaving AC Milan in 2011.

A factor in Ronaldinho being willing to relocate to West London is apparently the presence of Brazilian pal Julio Cesar at the newly-promoted club.

Cesar, who was Brazil’s first choice goalkeeper in this year’s World Cup, has been recalled by Redknapp following a loan spell at Toronto FC in MLS.

The goalkeeper was expected to move on again shortly but if Ronaldinho arrives things could be different.

Other clubs in the running for the Barcelona icon’s signature include New York City, Besiktas, Fluminense and Boca Juniors.
