Name: Liverpool

Home: Anfield

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Captain: Stephen Gerrard

Key Players: Agger, Gerrard, Sterling, Sturridge

Marquee Signing: Adam Lallana

Other Signing(s): Ricky Lambert, Emre Can, Lazar Markovic (so far)

Strength(s): Pacey midfield, precise attack

Playing Style: High pressing, fast-tempo counter attack

Summary: The departure of Luis Suarez, A man who scored 40 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season and assisted a further 19 would be seen as a huge loss but Liverpool can rally and be strong. They need to build the team more around Coutinho and Lucas Leiva if they want to do well this season as Gerrard seems to be ageing. Sturridge needs to be a lot less selfish and Lallana would have to create more chances for Sturridge while Sterling must produce more end product if Liverpool are to mount any kind of challenge. The weight of playing in Europe and the expectancy of league performsnce as well as the mentality of their opponents may just be too much for Rodgers and his boys who only just lost “the Vampire”.

Predicted Position: 5th
