Ogo Obi did his chances of signing for Manchester United no harm at all.
Manchester United took teenager Ogo Obi on loan from Watford last week, and he has taken a big first step in earning a contract with the Red Devils.
Obi was handed a start in United’s match in the Milk Cup youth tournament against Gold Coast Academy, and shone in a comprehensive 11-0 win.
He scored two goals, both in the first 20 minutes, as United’s young side cruised to victory in Northern Ireland.
There will be further fixtures for which Obi to impress and the Red Devils under-18 side aim to defend their title.
Obi is only 16, and is therefore yet to sign professional terms at Watford. SkySports reported The Hornets have granted their permission for Obi to try and win a deal at United.
Arsenal and Chelsea had previously also been linked with the striker’s signature.
