Manchester United are said to be planning a move for Dutch youngster Memphis Depay, according to reports.

The 20-year-old starred for Holland at this summer’s World Cup, under the stewardship of new United boss Louis van Gaal.

And now it is believed Van Gaal could be looking to bring the forward with him to Old Trafford.

BBC reporter Mike Keegan posted on Twitter: ‘Staying with MUFC and Dutch players, believe club are monitoring Memphis Depay. Any move could see him loaned out for first year.’

Depay, currently at PSV Eindhoven, impressed in Brazil during his side’s run to the semi-finals, scoring two goals in four appearances.

But if United do make a move, they are likely to send him back out on loan for the season to continue his development.
