Inter Milan set to sign another Manchester United player

Inter Milan are considering making a loan move for Manchester United hitman Javier Hernandez, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

The Serie A giants need to add depth to their attacking options – they have only three senior forwards in their squad at present – and they have a long-standing interest in Hernandez, whose future at Old Trafford is unclear.

The 26-year-old managed just six Premier League starts under David Moyes and Ryan Giggs last term, and it remains to be seen whether he will form an integral part of new manager Louis van Gaal’s long-term plans.

Inter are keen to take advantage of the uncertainty by offering him the chance to revive his career at the San Siro.

Tuttosport claim Inter are willing to pay Manchester United £1.5m for an initial season-long loan with a view to signing him permanently for £9.5m next summer, when he will have one year left on his Old Trafford contract.

Should Hernandez head to Inter he will link up with his former United team-mate Nemanja Vidic, who completed his free transfer move to the Serie A club earlier this summer.
