Enyeama has been quick to deny rumors that he was getting set to retire from international football as he assured Nigerians that he still had a desire to compete and help bring success to the Super Eagles.
Speaking at the annual Ibom Football Awards in Uyo, Enyeama assured that he is still a part of the national team, suggesting that his statements on his future may have been quoted out of context.
“I never said I will never play for Super Eagles again. I only said I will consult with my family which is the normal thing to do. I am still very much a national team player,” the Lille goalkeeper said.
Enyeama received an award for excellence presented by the Guvaps Management, organizers of the event, and the 31-year-old was by elated by the honour.
