Bristol City defender Karleigh Osborne suffered a horror injury during the club’s pre-season tour to Africa.
The 26-year-old was left with a nasty HOLE in his right leg following a challenge during Monday’s pre-season friendly against Botswana Premier League team Extension Gunners.
Osborne, who had only been on the pitch for a matter of minutes after coming on as a 81st minute substitute, was visibly upset as he was taken off by a motorised stretcher at the National Stadium in Gaborone.
Afterwards City boss Steve Cotterill said he hoped the shin injury wasn’t serious.
The injury marred a 3-0 victory for the League One side, who are the first British team to visit the African country.
The Robins had a training camp in Rustenburg, England’s base for the 2010 world Cup in South Africa, and are due to take on the Botswana national team on Friday.
