British heavyweights Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury have placed a bet of 100,000 pounds on their July 26 showdown which would be taking place in Manchester for the British and European heavyweight titles.

The undefeated Fury, who beat Chisora when the two first fought in 2011, constantly goaded his rival in front of the press and members of the public at Kensington Odeon. Chisora, who remained calm throughout Fury’s barbs, offered a £10,000 bet on the outcome but this was dismissed by Fury who labelled the sum insignificant. When pressed by host Jim Rosenthal on what would be worth gambling Fury initially offered the entire purse for the showdown – before suggesting the staggering sum which drew gasps from the public seats. The pair then shook hands on the wager before being pulled apart by security as the tension threatened to boil over.

Their Battle is set to be a classic
