Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has returned to the premier league giants as the club officially announced the signing of the Ivorian captain on their website.
The 36 year old is excited to return to a club he knows so well ans was quoted saying “my desire to win is still the same and I look forward to helping the team”. Even more excited than Drogba is Mpurinho who described Drogba as one of the best strikers in the world and called the decision to re-sign him an easy one. Mourinho who brought out the best in Drogba in his first spell at the club would be hoping the Ivorian can roll back the years and terrorize defenses across Europe for at least one more season
Drogba scored 100 premier league goals in during his first spell with the club. With age not on his side, it remains to be seen whether he can produce the kind of performances that have become synonymous with the big man and end Chelsea’s striker troubles.
