MLS side Toronto FC have been dealt a huge blow in the wake of Queens Park Rangers decision to recall Julio Cesar from his loan at the Canadian club.
Even though Julio Cesar only played seven games for Toronto FC, he left an incredibly profound effect on the Major League Soccer side. Crying when he announced before the World Cup that he would be leaving, the decision has been confirmed now that QPR have officially recalled him now they’re back in the English Premier League.
It only took one game in the Championship for QPR and Julio Cesar to realise that things weren’t going to work out during the 2013/14 season. The 34-year-old joined Toronto FC in February and made an impact straightaway with several quality displays.
“We’d like to thank Julio for everything he brought to our club. He made an immediate impact,” Toronto FC said in a statement.
