At whatever cost, Manchester United must get Vidal

With the season nearing its beginning and Van Gaal already unveiled as the Manager at Old Trafford, the Dutchman must go about fixing Manchester United’s biggest problem, the Midfield. Though he was a rock last season, Michael Carrick’s performances seem to be dipping, and he is ageing, and he has never been a physically imposing player which is a minus if you play in such an intense league, in the La liga or the Eredivisie, Carfrick would be a hit for his technical abilities but not in Engleand where midfielders like Yaya Toure, Cheick Tiote and Morgan Schneiderlin are celebrated. Save that, the former Tottenham man is out for 10 weeks, meaning Manchester United start their season without their best central midfielder who isn’t one of the best ten midfielders in the league. In Anderson, Manchester United have plenty drive, limited technical ability and colossal inconsistency and an affinity for showing up in only 40 percent of Manchester United’s big matches. Which means against Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham home and away, Anderson is most likely to play well in only four of those matches. Adan Herrera can play in central midfield but he like Carrick is not a physically dominant player. And Cleverly has not been the same since his ankle injury in 2012, struggling for form, giving away needless fouls and a passing range more terrible than Chelsea’s Ramires’. In vidal, Manchester United will be bringing in a world class midfielder with plenty big match experience coming from a top club with plenty experience in two very intense European leagues, the Bundusliga snd Serie A. Vidal is the ultimate box to box midfielder, a tough tackler with pace and directness and an ability to spot and make the right pass. Van Gaal thrives on transforming defence to attack and Vidal would be perfect for him; tenacious enough to get back and win the ball and creative enough to start and be the fulcrum of a team move plus he is a fighter, just what United need plus he is consistent with an eye for goal.

Schweinsteiger would be good, Khedira will be a great buy, Pogba would be Excellent but Arturo Vidal would be perfect for Manchester United
