How To Spice Up Your LBD(Little Black Dress)

share on:

The LBD since time immemorial has been one of the most important pieces in every female’s wardrobe.

Nowadays, fashion offers more flattering LBDs than ever, with styles that incorporate color-blocking, fit-n-flares and A-lines. These little details can really help whittle down your waist and play up your assets.

Today, I am sharing tips on how to make your dress enough, when it really isn’t.

1)Statement Jewellery

You can never go wrong with statement jewellery, so if you think your dress is a little too laid back for the occasion add some jewellery to your outfit. You can never go wrong with statement necklaces.

2)Have a Toke Makinwa moment with your make-up

That is an expression not to be taken literally. You don’t have to go through all the highlighting and contouring sister Toke subjects herself too. You could simply just wear a very bright lip colour, whatever you do ensure you do not end up looking like a masquerade.

To save yourself the trouble, get a professional MUA to get it done for you.

3)Make your hair take centre stage

I am a huge fan of big hair, shining large curls and all. So ensure your hair is perfect, pump up the volume, if you are the straight-and-shining hair-kinda-girl. Ensure it is as straight as humanly possible.

If you are a natural baby, please stay away from dry frizzy curls, whatever you do just make sure your hair is beyond fab.

4)Perfect your power walk, with fabulous shoes

There are very affordable brands with amazing shoes, so it really doesn’t have to be Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Guiseppe Zanotti, Valentino or any of the really expensive ones. Just make sure it is out of the ordinary, decent but beautiful.

Yes shoes, can be beautiful
