Whether we work for ourselves or for someone else, we all want to increase productivity, we want to get more done with less and thereby helping to ease some of the stress and strain of the economic downturn. One sure way of increasing productivity at workplace is through simple changes in our working habits, and the whole team taking a disciplined approach to each day at work, thereby impacting the bottom line in a major way. But for an employee to take a discipline approach to anything, he/she must be in a good frame of mind, must be happy and be readily and cheerfully available at work. And one good way for any employee to stay happy and cheerful at work especially the married ones is to have good sex at home – yes, good sex!

Obviously, having sex is fun, and most of us know that sex is good for our mental and physical awareness; but the last thought that probably would come to your mind while having sex or thinking about it is, improved workplace productivity; reason being that most of us simply have sex because we enjoy having it, or because we need to satisfy our partners. But, it turns out that there is another substantial benefit of sex that has to do with our workplace productivity. So, forget about an apple a day, because to feel better, look better, live longer and eventually work better; an orgasm or two a week may be an effective – and certainly enjoyable – productivity booster. So, let’s consider these two reasons below, you probably know them before now, but you just might not have thought about them this way.

Good Sex Boosts Immunity, So You Can Skip “Sick Days”:

Do you take ‘sick leave’ very often because of sneezing, wheezing, that runny-nose, headache or just some fatigue arising from work stress, or do you know anyone who does?  Well, I can categorically tell you there is nothing sexy or even productive about them. So, why not try having sex once or twice a week? According to researchers at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania, people who have good sex on a regular were found to have higher levels of an antibody called immunoglobulin A (IgA) which help in combating diseases and keep the body safe from colds and flu. So, apart from eating right, staying active and getting enough sleep, you can skip your sick days and use them as sex days instead to keep your immune system humming.

Good Sex Improves Work Performance:

You might be wondering how a dose of good sex with your partner at home can lead to an improved work performance, wonder no more, I will tell you. You see, chemically it has been suggested that sex elevates mood and reduces depression, so pleasurable sex life can make you a better worker in the sense that you will have a rare self-esteem boost and most times exude those ‘after-sex smiles’ which are signs of a fun night and also a job well done from your partner. This kind of self-esteem gives you a sense of being attractive, desirable, proficient, and confident, and that feeling spills over into all areas of your life especially where you spend most hours of the day – your office. Furthermore, in addition to boosting your self-esteem, good sex triggers the release of a number of valuable brain chemicals which can lead to improved problem-solving capacity as a result of heightened dopamine levels. After sex, men especially receive a boost of oxytocin – the so called love hormone – and vasopressin, which are chemicals that generate feelings of trust, attachment and calmness; researchers have suggested that these chemicals can help one to be more agreeable around the office.

Finally, most people who enjoy a regular dose of sex, confirmed that they sleep much better during the night and feel alive and refreshed throughout the day and are roaring to go in the office, So the next time you’re feeling down and out in the office or you are simply frustrated at work, try working it out in the bedroom at home. Your co-workers and your boss will thank you for it. Stay Safe.
