Pope Francis Pleads For Peace In The Middle East.

Pope Francis, in Bethlehem urged for an end to Middle East conflict at the start of a pilgrimage, the birthplace of Jesus, saying the prolonged Israel-Palestinian conflict had become unacceptable.

Speaking at the an official reception during the second leg of a three-day visit to the Middle East, Francis noted that a negotiated accord was needed, calling on leaders from both sides to show the necessary courage to forge a deal.
