Louis Van Gaal – “Alex Ferguson Will Not Be A Problem”

share on:

Manchester United’s new manager Louis Van Gaal has said that former club manager Alex Ferguson will not be a “problem”.

Ferguson retired from the club in 2013 but remains in the club as a director, playing a huge part in bringing in Van Gaal’s predecessor, David Moyes.

However, the Dutch coach maintains there will be not locking of horns between them.

“I will definitely have a dram (drink) with him soon,” he told Dutch television station RTL .

“We have done that several times before.  We can really cope with each other. I don’t think he is the biggest problem for this job, because I am always putting more pressure on me than anyone else.”

Van Gaal will officially begin his tenure at Manchester United after the World Cup.
