Following the turn out of events owing to the kidnap and abduction of over 200 girls from a secondary school in Borno by the Boko Haram Insurgents, tension increases on the presidency as to their whereabouts and demands for action to be taken by eager parents whose girls are victims of this terrorist act.
Citizens of Nigeria and foreigners alike recently took to social network to express their concern in a campaign to urge the government to do something about the abduction and bring the girls back. Mothers of the abducted girls, via pictures, could be seen in agony and tears begging for the release of their daughters who have been supposedly said to have been warded off to be sold into sex slavery to the insurgents.
With the rise of the campaign, the need for the names, pictures and other details of the abducted girls have been called for by the PDP to aid the investigation.
Dr. Kema Chikwe, the National Women Leader of the PDP, has called on the authorities of the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, to release the names pictures and other details of the abducted girls.
According to her, more fasting and prayers will be said for the Boko Haram sect to release the balance girls and also for the end of terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria.
She further stressed that the kidnapping of the Chibok was the worst of the crimes in recent time in the country and the hearts of womenfolk are not just broken but also bleeding profusely.
