Following the end of David Moyes’ tenure as manager of Manchester United, it has been announced that player Ryan Giggs will temporarily be in charge of the first team.
A club statement read: “Following the departure of David Moyes as manager, Manchester United has announced that Ryan Giggs, the club’s most decorated player, will assume responsibility for the first team until a permanent appointment can be made.
“The club will make no further comment on this process until it is concluded.”
40-year-old Giggs, who is studying for his Pro-Licence, has made a record 962 appearances for the club. He has won 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League titles since making his debut in 1991.
