It is with a very sad heart the 360nobs Style team compiled this list. 50percent of the stars and starlets on the red carpet wore very unappealing outfits. Twenty five percent’s outfits fell flat, they were not great or bad just unimpressive, It is in this lukewarm category that some of our biggest fashionistas ended up, the likes of Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Fade Ogunro, Jocelyn Dumas, Eku Edewor, Toke Makinwa and Agbani Darego. We found their style choices rather too lukewarm.
From the twenty-five percent left we have selected, this 7 outstanding men & women who altogether made the best style choices of the night, and trust me someone on the countdown is going to surprise you.
6)Ebuka Obi-Uchendu: Yes, he is the only male that made the list because in the real sense he is the only one that truly deserved to be on it. Lots of other people tried to pull off the white and black theme, but nobody did it like he did.
5)Genevieve Nnaji in Jewel by Lisa: Big ups to her stylist Veronica Ebie-Odeka. Genevieve has reached a point in her career were she dresses for herself not for any other person, herself. She is the only one that can pull off an outfit like this. I love love love her hairstyle choice, and I am also very thrilled by the fact that she stuck with minimal jewelry. This is what you wear when you have achieved the type of A-list status she has. This is what you wear when you are The Genevieve Nnaji.
4)Ugonna Umeruo in House Of Nwocha: I love this outfit. This is a great attempt at the Avante-Garde theme, she also pulled the outfit off really well. I mean, it is one thing for the outfit to be tailored to perfection and it is another thing for the celebrity to wear it well. Her eye make-up could use a little tweaking though.
We also really liked her Iconic Invanity piece
2)Tonye Garrick in FrockIt RockIt: Gorgeousness, I think she looks fabulous. She was the only female who was wearing white on the red carpet and did not look like a bride. Jocelyn Dumas came pretty close, but aint nobody got nothing on Tonye Garrick in this outfit.
1)Yemi Alade in Reni Smith: *Drumroll please* She looks amazzzziiiinnnnng. This is the only time in her entire career she has looked great, and she looked the absolute best on the red carpet. She drew inspiration from Lupita’s Prada dress to the 2014 Oscars.
NOTE TO NIGERIAN MEN: Tailor your pants!!!! We do not want to see a ‘break’ in your trousers.
Furthermore, Joseph Benjamin would have made the list if his shoe was a different color, Alex Ekubo and MAI Atafo looked quite impressive also, but we did not love their outfits.
