Malaysian Airplane With Over 200 Passengers Goes Missing Mid-Flight

An airplane carrying over 200 passengers has been declared missing by the Malaysian Airlines.

The plane was flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, and airlines officials have said they have launched a search-and-rescue operation.

The plane was scheduled to have touched down in Beijing at 6:40am, but no word has been heard.

According to Vietnamese sources, the aircraft had never reached the air traffic control region for Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, after the plane was supposed to have passed over the ocean between northern Malaysia and southernmost Vietnam.

Malaysia Airlines said it was yet to confirm it the plane crashed as no distress signal had been giving out.
