The multi award-winning (Kora Awards & Channel O) jazz instrumentalist Kunle Ayo brought the house down at his début London concert on the 29th of March 2014. The event which was held at the swanky Under The Bridge music venue at Stamford Bridge featured the seasoned guitarist Femi Temowo, saxophonist Soweto Kinch and the sultry singer Anastasia Baker.
One of Africa’s most celebrated guitarists, over the years, Kunle Ayo has won several musical accolades and been compared with jazz giants like George Benson, Earl Klugh and Jimmy Dludlu. Having lived in South Africa since 2002, Kunle is now stepping up his activities in the Nigerian market.
Over the course of his career, Kunle Ayo has played for the likes of Kayode Olajide, Lagbaja and Ebenezer Obey. While in South Africa, he has worked with the likes of Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Al Jarreau and the late Jate Khanyile and has produced five albums, with the sixth on the way.
