Check Out ‘The Rock’ as Hercules in The First Trailer for HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS

share on:

After hearing much about Hercules: The Thracian Wars movie which stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the Greek demi-god Hercules, the first trailer for the movie directed by Brett Ratner (Tower Heist) has been released online for people to check out.

In the upcoming movie, haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

The movie which also stars Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Aksel Hennie, and Reece Ritchie will be released on the 25th of July, 2014.

While the movie plot sounds good and the actors involved seem well experienced, you have to wonder if Dwayne Johnson is the best man for the job and after waiting for months to see the trailer, it ends up being disappointing and would most likely make some people stay away from the movie instead of making them eager to see it. Check it out and let’s know what you think…

  1. Look there’s a lot of rock hating fans as well as rock loving fans. I gotta say it looks way better than the Hercules movie that just came out a little while ago. What was it called??? Yeah, the legend of Hercules…. That was a bad movie, except for the king who is acted by Scott Adkins.

  2. Hercules himself was portrayed by kellan lutz, now that was a bad choice. I think this Hercules movie is going to be way better than the legend of Hercules. Also not to bs anybody. If you have seen a few of Dwayne Johnson’s older movies such as the rundown, faster, etc. then you wouldn’t be talking negative about him. He was always big, but he even got bigger for this role as Hercules. So before you go and judge him. You should weight out the option and explain why he’s a bad choice. And if he’s a bad choice as Hercules who else would you have picked??? I personally don’t know any good to great actors who are big in size as in height and weight. Other wrestlers are a joke. Mma fighters are not that big or tall or could act. Hmm…. Hollywood have very few big fellas that can act lol.
